About
My name is Shannon Butler and I am your Town Historian. I have enjoyed studying history since I was a kid (most of the town still considers me thus, as I am the youngest historian in this town's history) and have always loved to share everything with everyone.

Research
I promise to you that I will not simply research something and then stick it in a folder where no one will ever see it again. As I learn about our history, I will share it all with you. Perhaps you already know it, perhaps it's something new to you too. Perhaps it is an old story that you haven't heard in a while. Whatever it maybe I hope that you all enjoy the journey with me and please feel free to share your stories with me!

My Blog
Please make sure you check out my research blog, Stories from Historic Hyde Park, where I post much of my research in fun and educational blog posts.
