Facilities

Dinsmore Park is a large open neighborhood park which is located in the hamlet of Staatsburg on Old Post Road next to Dinsmore Firehouse and across from the Staatsburg Library. Since it is located in the middle of downtown Staatsburg, a walkable community, it is convenient to the other businesses there in the hamlet (post office, library and churches).

Amenities

There are:

• 2 large multi-purpose fields
• 2 playgrounds
• Basketball court
• Gazebo
• Grill

The multi-purpose fields can be reserved for league play, as well as, parties. View the Facility Use Application form (PDF) with annual fee schedule and instructions.

War Memorial

There is a War Memorial that pays tribute to the local men and women veterans.

Location

Dinsmore Park is situated between the 2 NYS parklands referred to as "NYS Mills-Norrie Parks." If you hike north from Dinsmore Park you can access Staatsburgh Historic Site where you can hike around its many miles of well-marked trails that include riverside trails with great views and vistas of the Hudson River. If you hike south into Norrie Point, you can access the trails there, the marina and the DEC Norrie Point Environmental Education Center. There is camping and cabins at NYS Norrie Point, boating and fishing along the banks of the river.
