Visitation for Various Facilities
Hospitals and group homes will be allowed to have visitors enter their facilities. The facilities must still follow social distancing guidelines, and it is up to the discretion of the facility to determine if visitations will be allowed. The facilities must notify the state they intended to allow visitors prior to allowing visitations. OPWDD group home visitation will be allowed beginning this Friday, June 19th.
Governor Cuomo also clarified that nursing homes are not included in the group home decision. The state is currently studying data from the hospital pilot program, and a determination on what restrictions can be eased on nursing homes will be made at a later date.
Following the call from county leaders across New York State to allow low-risk youth sports to resume, the Governor acquiesced, lifting his prohibition, including adult recreational leagues. Teams may resume practice in regions during Phase 3 — the Mid-Hudson region, including Dutchess County, is on track to begin Phase 3 on June 23rd — and competitions can begin July 6th. Guidance can be found HERE.
4th of July Celebrations
In partnership with the Hudson Valley Renegades, Silo Ridge Field Club, the Dutchess County Fairgrounds and iHeartMedia of the Hudson Valley, the county will host “Dutchess County Goes Renegade,” three free, socially distant fireworks displays around the County, open to all residents on Saturday, July 4th. More information will follow.
