Town Hall Will Be Closed To The Public Until Further Notice

Hyde Park Town Hall

In response to the public health threat of COVID-19, Governor Cuomo has issued the directive to local governments to reduce staff to only essential workers. In order to keep the public and town hall staff safe, Hyde Park Town Hall will be closed to the public until further notice, with employees working from home or within the closed Town Hall. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you posted.

Additional directives through the County and State have been put in place, including prohibition on gatherings of over 20 people, and the closure of all restaurants, gyms, and theaters. Take-out, curbside pick-up and delivery are allowed and encouraged.

The Town has cancelled Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals and Commission meetings through the month of April. Town Board meetings will continue with limited agendas designed to assure the continuous operation of the Town. Plans for the adoption of the Map, Plan and Report and Public Hearing for the Route 9 Sewer District have been placed on hold until further notice.

The Town is working with volunteer groups to develop plans to assist those in need. If you’d like to volunteer and are  willing and able to assist with a variety of volunteer efforts such as food preparation, food, and supply deliveries, facilitating intake calls, and other needs as they arise, please go to our sign-up sheet:
