Dutchess County Emergency Orders Update

Coronavirus Update

Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro has declared a State of Emergency and has issued the following Emergency Orders in response to the recent  Dutches County confirmed cases of COVID-19:

All social gatherings, including Dutchess County sponsored events, where it is anticipated attendance will exceed (20) people or more shall be restricted, cancelled or postponed. This order is in effect for five days, beginning March 13th and may be renewed or cancelled.

All classroom and extracurricular functions are ordered closed for 14 days beginning March 16, 2020.  Schools may remain open to administration, staff and staff functions.  This order does not include private daycare facilities, Head Start or other daycare programs, unless there is a direct need based on school facility logistics.

The Dutchess County Senior and Friendships are also cancelled for this time frame as well. 

The Hyde Park Senior Center and Seniorcize Program have been cancelled through April 30, 2020 as per the direction of the Department of Community and Behavioral Health.

The Recreation Department’s annual Easter Egg Hunt has also been cancelled.

At this time, all Hyde Park Committee meetings will be cancelled until further notice.

Town Hall remains open, but residents are asked to utilize phone or e-mail whenever possible to reduce interactions with town staff.

The Town is currently seeking input from various State Agencies regarding the conduct of Town Board, Planning Board, and Zoning Board of Appeals meetings.   More information on the schedule of these meetings will follow early next week.
