Freedom of Information Request
Copies of Town documents are subject to the Freedom of Information law as specified in Chapter 25 of the Town Code and may be requested by the public. Anyone requesting documents may do so online, by email, or by completing a Freedom of Information Request and filing it with the Town Clerk's office.
The Records Officer who is responsible for handling Freedom of Information requests is the Town Clerk and all requests are submitted to the Town Clerk's Office. The Freedom of Information Law requires that an Agency Respond within 5 business days to a request with either the requested records or a notification of when the records will be provided.

Denial of Access to Records
Denial of access to records shall be in writing stating the reason therefore and advising the requester of the right to appeal to the individual or body established to determine appeals.
If requested records or a notices of the availability date is not provided promptly, such failure shall also be deemed a denial of access.

Fees for access to public records are available in the Fee Schedule (PDF) or from the Town Clerk's office which is the official copy. They are listed here for convenience.
