Receiver of Taxes
NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF TAX ROLL AND WARRANT
TAKE NOTICE, that I, Cindy C. Todd, the undersigned Receiver of Taxes for the Town of Hyde Park, County of Dutchess and State of New York, have duly received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of school taxes within the Town of Hyde Park for the Hyde Park Central School District for the year 2020-2021, and that I will attend at the Hyde Park Town Hall, 4383 Albany Post Road, in the said Town of Hyde Park, commencing September 10, 2020 to October 9, 2020, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm on each day, excepting Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays for the purpose of receiving the taxes listed on the said roll.
Please make payments at either the drop box at Town Hall by the back door, or use the PO Box 2003, to mail payments to us. We will send receipts out when payments are received. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, however, the safety of our community is our number one goal. Please all be safe, and we hope to see you very soon as we begin to reopen. The Receiver of Taxes collects
- All taxes levied by the County & Town, which includes special district benefit assessments such as fire, light, library, and water districts
- Hyde Park Central School district taxes for properties located in the town of Hyde Park

County & Town Taxes
County and Town taxes are payable once a year penalty free during the month of February. This bill can be paid in full or in three installments from February 1st through August 31st. Any payment made beginning March 1st will be due with penalty. A penalty of 2% is due from March 1st through May 31st and 4% penalty is due from June 1st through August 31st. At the close of the collection period, all unpaid tax bills are returned to the Dutchess County Commissioner of Finance for collection.
Hyde Park Central School taxes are mailed early September and are due early October, without penalty. The specific date is dependent upon the school budget calendar. After the due date, a 2% penalty is due through early November. At the close of the school tax collection, unpaid taxes are returned to the Dutchess County Commissioner of Finance, and are re-levied onto the following year’s County and Town tax bill.
