The Shade Tree Commission consists of 7 members appointed by the Town Board for staggered 3-year terms. The Commission has advisory responsibility for street trees and shrubbery planted along Town roads and right-of-ways and, in specific cases, for maintenance of newly planted trees along State of County roads. It also has responsibility for an annual Tree Plan, including evaluation, maintenance, care and planting. Becoming knowledgeable about street trees and sharing this information with the community are important aspects of the Commission's work.
