The Shade Tree Commission is presently looking for two new members. If you are interested in finding out more information please call Margi Delafield at 229-5630 or email us at email@example.com.
The Hyde Park Shade Tree Commission views our street trees as an important community resource to be preserved, protected, maintained and replaced in all areas of town. The Shade Tree Commission will serve as a primary resource for the Town on street tree issues, learning and encouraging sound environmental and cultural practices.
The Shade Tree Commission consists of 7 members appointed by the Town Board for staggered 3-year terms. The Commission has advisory responsibility for street trees and shrubbery planted along Town roads and right-of-ways and, in specific cases, for maintenance of newly planted trees along State of County roads. It also has responsibility for an annual Tree Plan, including evaluation, maintenance, care and planting. Becoming knowledgeable about street trees and sharing this information with the community are important aspects of the Commission's work.
The Hyde Park Shade Tree Commission invites you to contact us. Our email is firstname.lastname@example.org. If there is an issue that you would like us to review, please fill out our Citizen Request form (PDF) and return it to the Shade Tree Commission at:
Shade Tree Commission Town Hall 4383 Albany Post Road Hyde Park NY 12538
